A Flag and an Honor

“These are the things that make us proud to be the VFW”

A daughter walks into the post and is carrying a flag from her fathers funeral and wants it to be properly folded to encase and keep it treasured for her family. Robert Lee Leistner 1943-2012 was an Army veteran and left behind three loving children and five grandchildren. Robert retired from the Army and spent his last 15 in service at Fort Huachuca Arizona.

An Honor A Flag

As Americans and defenders of freedom, this reminds us of how many comrades served throughout our given history, and reminds us that without that service; we would be in dismay. From all of us at VFW Post 7401, we thank Teresa (Robert’s Daughter), for sharing and giving us the opportunity to somehow touch her, her family and her father. His service is greatly appreciated and not forgotten.
