Our beloved Diane Draves has moved on to be with our creator. Diane spent a lifetime dedicating herself to her children, husband, family and friends. The Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cooties, Ladies Auxiliary, Community and world has lost a dear and dedicated person and she will be greatly missed.

The family and community will be joining together on Sunday November 15th at 3:00 to share and honor an incredible woman. There will be food and memories alike.

April 25, 1932 – December 14, 2014

It is with great regret that our beloved Bonnie has passed. She is now in the heavens waiting for us with open arms. Bonnie dedicated herself to our VFW, Cooties and VA Hospital for many years and was a great example of unselfishness and dedication. We will miss her dearly and know she is at peace.

Bonnie Jean Michalka, born April 25, 1932 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Leo and Alton Pinch, passed away on December 14, 2014 at the age of 82 in Mesa, Arizona. Bonnie had many careers throughout her life from being an Elementary School teacher in La Mesa, California to working at the First Interstate Bank and for 16 years, Bonnie worked as an Patient Administrator for the V.A. Clinic. She was very active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW); an active member of the Eastern Star, the Order of True Kindred, the Order of the Amaranth and other Masonic organizations. She was a member of Central Christian Church for several years.

Draves Chicken Fried Steak! Wednesday Nov 19th

Come on down Wednesday Oct 15th to your local chandler VFW for pull tab night and chicken fried steak. 5:30 to 7:00. If you would like to volunteer to cook your own famous dish for your Veterans and community contact us.! Check the CALENDAR for our entire dinner schedule. Having a 50/50 raffle drawing at 6:45

USS Makin Island Adopted Troops MAKE IT HAPPEN 7401

Calling all members, family and community. The Ladies Auxiliary has asked for all of our help to make this journey a success. They have adopted troops on the USS Makin Island whom will be out of country for the next year. The post and LA will be collecting and gathering donations for care packages and phone cards for the troops. Attached is a list of items that the troops are requesting. The LA will have boxes at the post to donate old cell phones and requested items at the post. These phones will be exchanged for phone time for the troops. For further details talk to your LA members and help us make this a success. These young troops are defending our freedom.
